From their recent [blog posting]1 :
Starting April 1st, only BIA balances of up to and including 25 BTC or 500 ETH (equivalent to roughly $100,000 and $70,000 respectively) will earn the 6.2% APY interest rate. All balances over that limit will earn a tiered rate of 2% interest. To clarify, if you had 25.5 BTC in your BIA account, the first 25 BTC would earn interest at 6.2% APY and the remaining 0.5 BTC will earn interest at 2%. Additionally, on April 5th, we will be adding a flat withdrawal fee of 0.0025 BTC and 0.0015 ETH.
Sorry, hedge funds. No 6% interest for you.

My experience regarding xmr.to within cakewallet android

Hi everyone. I just started using cakewallet and the built-in xmr.to exchanger which I initially thought was a great feature that monerujo did not have. I think cakewallet was very easy to use. One place I think it can improve upon is that the transaction area does not seem to update on its own and requires me to click around a few buttons or re-open the wallet before transactions would update. It would be nice if the app auto-updated my transactions every minute or had a "refresh" button I could hit. I cannot attest to the security of their wallet, but my funds were not stolen at any time, and I was able to move my funds off the wallet. Regarding the following experience I had with xmr.to, I can only talk about its use within cakewallet and not when using directly on their website.
I decided to use the built-in xmr.to exchanger in the wallet today. I was given an exchange rate of 0.0102 BTC per 1 XMR at a time when the ratio was 0.0104, which is a reasonable and acceptable fee for using their service. Their ratio, at least on face value, is better than what I was quoted on morphtoken's and changenow's websites. I first exchanged a fairly large number of monero worth about 1 btc, and then a smaller number of monero worth about 0.25 btc.
Directly on the exchange page within cakewallet for android is the text "The receive amount is guaranteed". So I put in my btc address and confirmed the exchange. Only by looking at my BTC address did I realize I received significantly fewer amount of btc than I was quoted and expecting. For the exchange worth 1 BTC, I actually received 5.5% less BTC than quoted on the app. For the exchange worth 0.25 BTC, I received about 2.7% less BTC than quoted on the app. Keep in mind, this reduction is in addition to the ~2% lower quote value compared to "market rates". So in the end, I am down about $600 on my 1 btc exchange, and about $120 on my 0.25 btc exchange.
Either there are hidden fees or there is some major slippage occurring on whatever exchange xmr.to is using. I also cannot attest to the theory that you might get better rates when exchanging smaller amounts of xmr (which is counter-intuitive to me given there are on-chain btc/xmr fees to account for). After this experience, I would definitely not use xmr.to at this time given the opacity of how much btc you will actually receive in the end after you click the confirm button. I would be more willing to use xmr.to if they could provide accurate exchange rates. I would not be writing this post now if they were up-front about the actual exchange rate and had given me the exact btc amount to expect. My lesson learned here is to trade xmr on a CEX directly rather than using these instant exchangers.
I messaged u/binaryfate but his response was "Hi, please see with [email protected], I am not dealing with this." I have nothing personally against binaryfate, and I think he has contributed significantly to the monero ecosystem and community. I have also informed u/cakewallet via other channels.
Hope my experience helps you out. Let me know what your experiences have been like.
tl;dr xmr.to gives you fewer btc than quoted in the cakewallet android app.

Idea: API for historical Bitcoin exchange rate by blockheight

Is there an API for historical Bitcoin exchange rate by blockheight? (i.e. I enter blockheight and I get the Bitcoin exchange rate at the time the block was included in the main chain).
This would be a killer feature service for most of the Bitcoin wallets, because they could easily show amounts for each past transaction.
There are a lot of other services that provide an exchange rate. Either continuously (e.g. https://bitpay.com/bitcoin-exchange-rates), but they don't provide the historical data. Or they have historical data (e.g. http://www.investing.com/currencies/btc-usd-historical-data) but their granularity is too high (1 day instead of 1 block).
Bonus points if you make a public script supposed to be run in cron, that generates a CSV/sqlite database anyone can use.
I'm quite surprised there is not anything like this in the Bitcoin space already.

Bitcoin Supply Growth Rate API

The API can be used to retrieve current rates of bitcoin inflation using the URL:
http://bitcoinsperperson.com/api-inflation
or the inflation rate between specific blocks can be returned using a URL containing the desired blockheights:
http://bitcoinsperperson.com/api-inflation-125000-430000
A request can also me made where the word "current" is used in place of a blockheight in order to make a calculation using the current blockheight:
http://bitcoinsperperson.com/api-inflation-current-420000
or
http://bitcoinsperperson.com/api-inflation-210000-current
Let me know if you think it is wrong or if you have any suggestions.
